Québec

Back in Canada I went to see the city Québec which may only be the capital of Québec state but the people like to think of it as the capital of the country and they like to show that. Their parliament building is spectacular, it's set in a parliament district and there must be a statue of every politician that was ever there.
There are of course loads more monuments like one of Joan of Arc and there are cannons scattered all around. The old city is beautiful and very well kept and is behind city walls. There's also a nice walk along the river that leads up to Chateau Frontenac, a massive castle within the old city.
