New York

I drove into New York State from Connecticut and entered the city through the Bronx. Then I crossed one of the many bridges to
Manhattan and drove down Park Av until the van started overheating and I had to pull over in one of the finest neighbourhoods of New York City. I must have blended in rather nicely.
When the van had cooled down enough I drove on amongst all the yellow cabs as for as Queensboro bridge and into Queens, a block away from the waterfront where I stayed with my friend Greg the tour guide. I made various trips into Manhattan to cover all there is to see, starting with Times Square and the Empire State Building to get a bird's eye view.
Other sights included the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Wall Street and the building sight where once stood two famous towers. I also went for a nice stroll through Central Park and
even visited some museums like Guggenheim, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National History Museum which recently served as the setting of the film 'Night at the Museum'. But seemingly nothing was shot inside, only outside the museum.
But New York isn't just Manhattan. I also saw a fair bit of Queens where I had the opportunity to join Greg for a capoeira lesson with Professor Abara from Capoeira Brasil. I briefly visited Roosevelt Island and went to a house party in Brooklyn.
