Another thing off the list of 'things to do before I die'. I can't quite believe I got to the Indy 500! I flew to the racing capital of the

world to see the major event and from the plane I already got a great view of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The stands were packed, the military showed up in large numbers and they even had a military aircraft fly over the track.

The speed and noise during the race were outrageous and there was a hell of a lot of action. We even had a view of pit lane.

The race was stopped for three hours to dry the track after some rain and we used that time to look around the infield and walked along parts of the F1 Grand Prix track.

When the race restarted it was quite a relief cause there was always the chance they'd stop it altogether.

And that's what they did 40 laps from the completion of the 500 miles when more rain came down on the track. At that time it was Dario Franchitti who was leading and he's therefore the 91st Indy 500 winner.
