Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam

Only 285 miles from Vegas is the Grand Canyon so I drove out there too. The road leads across Hoover Dam which is also the border between Nevada and Arizona.
You'll never guess that I was impressed by the canyon but what was unusual is that it snowed there the same night so when I went back the next morning the canyon was
filled with thick mist and I couldn't see a thing. I'm just glad I saw it the day before in the sunshine and also at sunset, the way you'll see it on most of the postcards.
