Fraser Island

Fraser Island is nothing but a massive sand island and I got to do some really fun driving! There was another driver, all others in our group didn't even dare try, who made us all suffer badly before we even hit the sand and bumps and he gave up on the very first hill as he was just slipping backwards and came close to crashing the truck!
So I got to drive the rest, along narrow, steep and bumpy sand tracks and on the beach where you really had to hold on to the wheel when hitting dry sand heaps. Driving 100 km/h on the beach was pretty cool alright! We stopped off at what are considered some of the best lakes in the world and relaxed in the champagne pools but I didn't get to see any sharks at Indian Head, a fantastic lookout over island and water.
