Melaka

When the bus arrived in Melaka, the birthplace of Malay civilisation, it pulled up at the station that happened to be right beside a massive Tesco's and I decided without any hesitation that it would be my next destination. As I stepped off the bus an Indian lad advertising for his guest house gave me some helpful information about things to do in Malka and my onward travel to Singapore. Then after the visit to Tesco's I took a bus to the guest house and the fine Indian chap told no lies. The place and people were really nice.

Altogether I had less than a day to see all the sights before getting on a bus again but as Melaka is a small town it wasn't too big a task. And so I got to see a fort, an old ship, a famous clock and some churches amongst other things.
