A small town in the middle of nowhere with a large number of aboriginal people, mostly just hanging around and loads of shops selling aboriginal art. Anyway I went to visit a reptile centre to learn all about snakes and lizards and let a big python wrap itself around me and hold a few lizards, fascinating creatures. Oh, did I mention there was a big salt water crocodile there, too! I got to have a good look inside his mouth while he was yawning.

The town also had a kangaroo rescue centre where little Joeys that survived the road accident that killed their mothers were looked after. These little fellows are taken from the mother's pouch and taken care of till they're old enough to survive alone in the wild. Seeing the little fellows bouncing around is pretty cool but the best is when they have to go to bed. Their human mother shows them a bag or pillowcase that they happily somersault into and after a little more movement in the bag the little head looks back out at the world.

One evening then I took a walk out of the town to some rocks where a load of rock-wallabies live. It wasn't a zoo or any kind of home constructed by humans, it was just where they lived, hiding during the day and running about at night. So anyway, when just sitting there I soon found myself surrounded by the little fellows.
