This place is so European that after nearly three months in Asia it seemed odd to see Chinese people there. I could even read the signs which were all in Portuguese because Macau is of course a former Portuguese colony. It was like being in the south of Europe in every way including the weather.

Macau was preparing for the Grand Prix with racing cars and motorbikes, and stands and security requirements for the street races were already built up. Drove on the track passed the main stand on a bus to the centre. There I visited Saint Senado Square and walked to the the Guia Fort and Lighthouse in the evening from where there was a great view of the city. I also visited the Ruins of St. Paul's, St. Dominic's Church, the Statute of KIun Iam, Macau tower and saw the amazing Si Van Bridge.
