Flew into Bankok from Macau with AirAsia. Bought a ticket to Cambodia leaving myself just over 30 hours in Bangkok but I used the time well. After a good experience with a tuctuc driver on my first visit I decided to chance my luck with another who offered an hours tour of buddhas and temples for 5 Baht, about 10 cent. The only catch was that I'd have to go into tailor shops where they would try to force suits on me but I of course didn't have to buy and had no intention of buying. The whole reason being that the tuktuk drivers get free petrol for delivering tourists to the door step.

Anyway I got to see the Standing Buddha and the Golden Temple that offers a great view of the city. The Golden Temple was not far from where I was staying and when we got there the driver did not want to wait and said I should take another tuctuc back and need not pay him, just the other one. I walked back to Khao San Road passing some smaller temples and shrines and the Democracy Monument on the way.
