Phonsavanh
Had only a short stay in Phonsavanh but it was long enough to see the Plain Of Jars. They are hollow stone barrels of various sizes and nobody knows how they got there. There were also a fair few bomb creators from the Vietnam war around that area. At this stage there were four of us, the Irish girl Alison the German guy Dominic and on the bus we met Marius from Switzerland.Later in the evening we sat out with some locals to have some Laolao which is a kind of rice wine and ended up staying for hours, chatting and eating. One of them even had a guitar and a few of them played it and sang traditional Laos songs.
The guest house we stayed in had a room full of weapons for some strange reason but they sure made for a few fun pictures. The guy in the middle is Dominic and the other lad is another German who was also staying in our guest house.
